Who We Are

Mark Holmes & Son Funfairs is a 5th generation family run fairground and catering provider based in Carmarthenshire, Wales.

Being the 5th Generation of the Holmes Family to own and operate rides and attractions within the fairground industry we have many years of experience to fall back on meaning you can count on us to provide a professional and fun addition to your event or function.

Throughout the year we work with many local authorities and organisations including Pembrokeshire CC, Ceridigion CC, Carmarthenshire CC, Cardiff Met University, Merlins Walk Shopping Centre, Swalec Stadium to name but a few.

We also work with many community councils and local committees to ensure there event is maximum fun, these being various carnivals, festivals, family fun days and agricultural shows throughout the year.

We also cater for many Private hire events, corporate hire, weddings, parties and film work throughout the year.

Health & Safety

Here at Mark Holmes & Son FunFairs we pride ourselves on the first class condition of our rides and attractions and the excellent standard of which they are presented in.

All of our rides and attractions are operated with in accordance to the 1997 Fairground and Amusement Park Guidance of Safe Practice. As operational members of the Showman’s Guild Of Great Britain we also abide by their code of practice adding additional safety measures and regulations the Guild provides.

Each individual ride and attraction is inspected by individual accredited engineers annually and each piece of equipment has its own certification from Adips. - www.adips.co.uk

As well as this, each ride has its own daily check procedure of which is completed prior to operation daily.

All Rides have their own individual risk assessment again adding to the safety of which we operate.

Whilst all safety measures are met stringently we also have a public liability insurance of £10m cover on each ride.

Ensuring the safety of our customers is of paramount importance to us.

Covid-19

We have all Covid-19 risk assessments, abiding by all practices in place ensuring our rides and attractions are “Covid Secure” and operate to all government guidelines in place.

We have installed a sanitising station on each ride and attraction, each ride and attraction is sprayed and cleaned with Zoono 30 Day Protection prior to operation and are also cleaned on regular intervals throughout the day. We also promote social distancing and can operate a one way system if necessary.
